OPEN - 0007 - Mass Arms Co., H&D Folsom, Crescent Fire Arms Co - Single Barrel Shotgun
That one is going to clean up nicely! My understanding is that for guns manufactured for Crescent Fire Arms, you'll find the serial number etched onto the lower tang, just to the rear of the trigger guard. You can use this serial number to estimate the manufacturing year. Conversely, Stevens-made ...

Looks like these knifes were issued to and popular with pilots.

Including some research notes:
Manufacturer: The knife was produced by the Pal Cutlery Company. This company was involved in producing various cutlery items, transitioning from razor blades to military knives during WWII, especially after acquiring Remington's cutlery division in 1941. This ...

Identified - PAL RH 36 - WWII Fighting Knife
I'm still learning blade identification so I didn't know what this was at first glance but knew it was worth picking up at auction. It's physically solid but in rough shape from years of use and abuse. I don't think it needs much so we're going to do a quick recondition and list for sale.

Re: Identified - US Disston Machete - 1945
Excellent and Thanks! I cleaned it up a bit more last night. This is a great blade. Very well made and obviously durable.
Now I'm on the hunt for an appropriate sheath and planning to sharpen.

Identified - US Disston Machete - 1945
I purchased this blade cheap at auction on a hunch it was military issue. When I picked up it was sitting in a NC barn rusting away and I can't make out any of the markings but it resembles a USMC handle (I think). We're going to do a level one reconditioning to clean her up a bit and see if we can ...

Re: Identified - 1864 Terni Arsenal .69 Caliber Percussion Pistol
This pistol was in very good condition but covered in years of grime and varnish. We did a level one reconditioning effort to bring back original functional state. I'm happy to report she is a great shooter and hand canon. I will post some info about bullet options and what I went with.

Some additional pictures pre-conditioning (before). There are scratches, dings, dents, stock cracks, chips and it feels rough due to the layers of stain and varnish.

Identified - 1864 Terni Arsenal .69 Caliber Percussion Pistol
I picked this pistol up a couple months ago which was sold as a French percussion pistol however this appears to be an Italian made. It's mechanically in pretty good shape (especially the barrel) but it has years of varnish and grime and needs a good cleaning. I think this is a shooter. TBD

Re: J. Doe - 0001 - Unidentified - LS
This barrel has me stumped. I scoped it and it seems to have a consistent pattern of ring type grooves. The LS marks also seem to have been embellished with copper or similar. Does that look familiar to anyone?
Thanks
I'm starting to think that "LS" stamp may be Luther Sage and your initial ...
