Paper Cartridge Firearms
These were essentially paper tubes filled with gunpowder, wadding, and shot. They were sealed at one end, and the shooter would tear open the other end to pour the powder into the barrel, followed by the shot. This method was an improvement because it standardized the load, making shooting more consistent.
