We decided to begin with a straightforward version of our Mason lock, which we've named "Stone". This flintlock represents our third generation model and is tailored for integration with our forthcoming JC1811-F stock frame. Despite the clutter in the photo, we're fond of this image because it also offers a glimpse of a JC1811-EP featuring an aluminum-infused frame.

We've just completed field testing and have begun producing the first limited batch of five locks. We're starting by cutting six plate blanks as one becomes the template moving forward.

Into the forge they go for a couple minutes to bring up to temperature to anneal. Annealing is a thermal treatment technique that alters the physical and chemical characteristics of a material, making it more malleable and easier to work with.
